PSR support the Graeme Le Saux Coaching workshop during May half term in Elba, Italy
Ex England International, Chelsea and Premier League star Graeme Le Saux delivered a fantastic coaching programme to young players aged 7 – 14yrs, with the assistance from PSR Director of Coaching Scott Rimmer. The programme was run in association with Powder Byrne Travel and was situated at the picturesque resort at Hermitage for 5 days. The players that attended the workshop experienced a uniquely exclusive opportunity to receive specialised coaching that encompassed many technical aspects of the game.
The aim of the workshop was to provide an exclusively personal learning experience for each young player working with Graeme & Scott, whilst playing in an enormously fun and friendly environment. The Key areas of development experienced by the players during the weeks morning sessions were; ball familiarisation & mastery, turning & 1v1 games, passing & decision making, shooting & heading and basic defending techniques and awareness. The focus during the afternoons progressed to that of fun small sided team practices, competitions and game play. The afternoon sessions proved to be a fantastic opportunity for the players to compete in a relaxed but challenging climate where each individual was able to express individual qualities and attributes within the team situations.
PSR players enjoy training from Graeme Le Saux
A select group of Meadow Sports players enjoyed an afternoon being coached by Graeme Le Saux through a PSR run initiative that was held at the Oxshott Village Sports Club. Areas of activity and development included ball related warm up practices, technical work encompassing turning, passing & finishing. The afternoon proved to be a fantastic success for all the children involved which included Graeme joining in a small sided game at the end in addition to question & answer exercise when it came to a close.
